Accessibility
"Condition that must be met by environments, processes, goods, products and services, as well as objects or instruments, tools and devices, to be understandable, usable and practicable by all people in conditions of safety and comfort and in the most autonomous way and natural as possible. It presupposes the strategy of "design for all" and is understood without prejudice to the reasonable adjustments that must be adopted" (Observatorio Accesibilidad y Vida Independiente, 2020, para. 1).
universal design
"Design of products, environments, programs and services that can be used by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialized design"; without excluding "technical aids for particular groups of people with disabilities, when needed" (United Nations, 2006, art. 2, p. 5).
